MARCO MIGNOT QUALIFIES FOR THE WSL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TOUR 2025
Marco Mignot, the 23-year-old French surfer from the Quiksilver team, won the final Challenger Series event of the season tonight in Saquarema, Rio de Janeiro (Bra). Incredible in the air throughout the competition, he completely outclassed his opponents. In the final, he defeated Brazilian Deivid Silva with a score of 14.73 points to 10.73 points for his rival.
Thanks to his performance Marco Mignot qualified for the prestigious 2025 World Championship Tour (WCT) of the World Surf League (WSL). After an outstanding season marked by remarkable performances, including a final at the Huntington Beach CS event last August, the Frenchman joins the world’s top surfers for the first time in his career. He will join Quiksilver team ambassadors already competing on the CT, including world No. 3 Griffin Colapinto (USA), Kanoa Igarashi (Jap), and Rio Waida (Ind).
The Quiksilver team is also proud to announce the qualification of Joel Vaughan (Aus) and Jackson Bunch (Haw) for the 2025 WCT.
Known for his explosive surfing and aerial maneuvers, Joel has made a name for himself on the QS circuit, winning several events, including at Phillip Island and Port Stephens. Jackson, for his part, has claimed multiple titles in Junior categories, including the prestigious USA Surfing Championship. His experience in Hawaiian waves and commitment to international competitions make him a future contender for the world title.
With six surfers among the world’s best, this season promises to be an incredible one for the Quiksilver team!
